Fun Ungaro Parallel Paris Zip Front Dress.
Emanuel Ungaro was born in Aix-en-Provence to an Italian tailor who had immigrated from Brindisi. As a young boy, Emanuel Ungaro took to sewing.
At the age of 22, he moved to Paris and three years later, he began designing for the House of Cristobal Balenciaga. After spending six years at Balenciaga's side, Emanuel Ungaro opened his own fashion house in Paris in 1965. With 40 square meters and four seamstresses, Ungaro quickly imposed his sense of colour, structure, and fashion on the international fashion scene.
In 1968, he created the first pret- a-porter collection, "Parallele" and opened a flagship boutique at 2, avenue Montaigne in Paris. During the next 30 years, the Emanuel Ungaro House expanded to include boutiques and licencing agreements worldwide.
This black fitted dress is just what you need for your next card party. The dress features card themed printed silk sleeves and scarf. The neck scarf is attached and can be worn is many different styles as shown in the photos. The fully lined dress appears to be wool (unmarked) and features a zip front and three other zippered pockets. The size is marked 12 and measurements are as follows. Shoulder to Shoulder 16, Bust 38, Waist 32, Hips 34, Shoulder length 25, Dress Length 39 1/2. Nice vintage condition, no rips or stains.

Spring Fling - Joseph Magnin
Joseph Magnin was the son of Isaac and Mary Ann Magnin. Mary Ann Magnin was the founder of the I. Magnin Co. high-end specialty department store she named after her husband. Joseph Magnin was active in the running of the I. Magnin Co. until 1913. He had been passed over by Mary Ann, offering more prominent company positions to her other three sons John, Samuel and Grover. Joseph left I. Magnin and cashed in his share of ownership. He initially went into real estate before returning to retail . He bought into a store named Newman-Levinson and changed it to Newman-Magnin. Eventually he bought out his partners and changed the name to Joseph Magnin Co. (From Wikipedia).
Here is a pretty spring dress from the 1970's. Picture a picnic and a swing. Allover floral print with a purple bow at the waistline. A ruffled collar add to the spring feel of this dress. Robert Gordon Mackie (born March 24, 1940 in Monterey Park, California) is an American fashion designer, best known for his costuming for entertainment icons such
as Cher, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli, Tina Turner and Mitzi Gaynor. He was the costume designer for "The Carol Burnett Show" during its entire 11 year run and designed the
costumes for the 1993 television adaptation of :Gypsy". Mackie is also known for his exclusive dress

1940's Black Sateen
This reminds me of a dress that Barbara Stanwyck would have worn in a movie portraying a business woman. It may be fashioned from an acetate sateen with a cream sheer pleated fabric covering the decollete area. The neckline area ends with two points in the back. The dress has a side metal zipper. Measurements in inches are: Shoulder to Shoulder 15, Bust 34, Waist 26 and Length 44 1/2. No flaws noted.
